Getting Started

Step 1: Checking supplied items: Ensure all accessories like the AC adaptor, cables, "Memory Stick Duo", microphone, and lens hood are present.

Step 2: Charging the battery pack: Attach the battery pack to the camcorder, connect the AC adaptor to the camcorder and a wall socket. The charge lamp indicates charging status.

Step 3: Turning the power on and holding your camcorder firmly: Slide the POWER switch to the appropriate mode (CAMERA-TAPE or CAMERA-MEMORY). Hold the camcorder securely with the grip belt.

Step 4: Adjusting the LCD panel and viewfinder: Open and rotate the LCD panel for optimal viewing. Use the viewfinder for extended battery life. Adjust viewfinder brightness and display settings as needed.

Step 5: Using the touch panel: Interact with the camcorder's functions by touching the LCD screen. Hide screen indicators by pressing DISPLAY/BATT INFO.

Step 6: Setting the date and time: Use the P-MENU to access settings and configure the clock for accurate recording information.

Step 7: Inserting a tape or a "Memory Stick Duo": Open the cassette compartment, insert the tape or "Memory Stick Duo" correctly, and close the lid.

Step 8: Installing the supplied microphone and hood with lens cover: Attach the XLR adaptor and microphone. Connect them to the camcorder and adjust settings for desired audio quality. Attach the lens hood.
