Getting Started
Step 1: Checking supplied items
Check that all supplied items are present, including the camcorder, body cap, AC adapter, power cord, wireless remote, battery pack, wind screen, large eyecup, component A/V cable, A/V connecting cable, USB cable, mount adapter, application software CD-ROM, and operating guide.
Step 2: Attaching the supplied accessories
Attach the wind screen to the microphone to reduce wind noise, ensuring the Sony logo faces down.
Step 3: Charging the battery pack
Slide the power switch to OFF. Attach the battery pack by sliding it until it clicks. Connect the AC adapter and power cord to the camcorder and a wall outlet. The CHG lamp indicates charging status.
Step 4: Attaching the lens
Remove the body cap and mount adapter caps. Align the mounting mark on the mount adapter with the mounting index on the camcorder and turn clockwise to lock. Align the mounting index on the lens barrel with the mounting mark on the mount adapter and turn clockwise to lock.
