Before using this unit, set the date and time of the internal clock and the user language. To attach or remove optional components or accessories, turn the camcorder power off. The camcorder features a 2/3-inch type Power HAD FX CCD, multi-format support (including XAVC HD, MPEG-4 SStP, Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD), Slow & Quick Motion, digital extender, picture cache recording, time-lapse recording, and simultaneous recording to two SxS memory cards. It also supports network functions via wireless or wired LAN and can be configured into a shooting/recording system with camera adaptors. GPS functionality records location and time information. Other functions include automatic lens aberration correction, gamma correction, and focus assist. Software downloads for drivers and applications are available on the Sony Professional website. The camcorder has various connectors for power, input/output, and accessories, along with controls for settings, playback, and menu navigation.
