Basic Operations

• Before Using This Unit: Set date and time, user language. Turn off power before attaching/removing accessories.
• Chapter 1: Overview: Features of the camcorder, including sensor type, recording formats, slow & quick motion, digital extender, picture cache, time-lapse, simultaneous recording, network functions, GPS, and external input.
• Chapter 2: Preparations: Instructions on powering the unit using battery or AC power, attaching the viewfinder, mounting and adjusting the lens, preparing the audio input system, and tripod mounting.
• Chapter 4: Shooting: Handling memory cards (SxS and SD), basic operations like playing clips, advanced operations like recording shot marks, retroactive images, time-lapse, slow & quick motion, and simultaneous recording. Includes sections on proxy recording, metadata operations, and remote operation.
• Chapter 5: Clip Operations: Performing operations on clips via the thumbnail screen, such as playing, protecting, copying, deleting, and displaying clip properties.
• Chapter 6: Menu Display and Settings: Navigating and adjusting various settings through the menu system, including user menus, paint menus, thumbnail menus, maintenance menus, and file menus. Assigning functions to switches.
• Chapter 7: Saving and Loading User Setting Data: Saving and loading various settings, including ALL files, scene files, reference files, lens files, and gamma files.
• Chapter 8: Connecting External Devices: Connecting external monitors, computers for managing clips, configuring shooting systems, and recording external input signals.
• Chapter 9: Maintenance: Cleaning the viewfinder, notes about battery terminals, and the error/warning system.
