Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
Computer does not start Check power connection, battery installation/charge, disconnect USB devices, restart.
Screen remains blank Ensure LCD backlight is on, close application windows, restart computer.
Computer or software stops responding Close applications, restart computer, unplug/reinstall power, try reinstalling software.
Cannot connect to wireless LAN Check distance/obstructions, ensure WIRELESS switch is on, verify access point settings and encryption key.
No sound from speakers/headphones Check volume controls, ensure correct sound output device is selected, check program-specific volume settings.
Touch pad does not work Ensure mouse is not connected, check if touch pad is disabled, restart computer.
Keyboard configuration is wrong Change keyboard settings via Control Panel.
Cannot use numeric keypad Ensure Num Lock is activated.
