Setting Up

  • Check package contents and identify parts.

Using as a Telephone

Troubleshooting and error codes

Installation
"P" flashes on the message counter when first connecting the AC adaptor or after a power outage. • Press any key.

Storing memory dialing numbers
Five short error beeps are heard, and a memory number cannot be stored. • Ensure the number is less than 16 digits (including tone and pause). • Ensure you are following the correct storage procedure.
Making Calls
Five short error beeps are heard. • Extend the base unit antenna vertically. • Move the cordless handset closer to the base unit. • Move the base unit away from noise sources. • Place the handset on the base unit for a period.
The TALK/BATT LOW lamp flashes. • Charge the cordless handset battery for 12 hours.
No dial tone is heard. • Ensure the RING ON/BATT SAVE switch is set to RING ON. • Check if the telephone line cord is securely connected. • Charge the cordless handset battery.
The phone always connects to the wrong number, or does not connect at all, despite dialing correctly. • Check if the dialing mode is set correctly.
Using the answering machine
Five short error beeps are heard when activating the answering machine. • A greeting message has not been recorded. • The microcassette is not inserted. • The tape is full and there are unplayed messages. Play messages and rewind the tape.
No sound is heard through the base unit speaker. • Check the VOLUME control.
The caller's message was interrupted. • The message was too long. • The caller's voice was too low. The unit disconnects the line after 7 seconds of silence.
When calling your phone from a tone phone, the line disconnects. • You have entered the security code incorrectly three times.
