Base Unit Installation

1. Connect the telephone line cord to the LINE jack and a telephone jack.

2. Connect the AC power adaptor to the DC IN 9V jack and to an AC outlet. The POWER lamp will blink.

3. Extend the antenna fully. Make sure it is pointing towards the ceiling.

Battery Preparation

1. Slide and open the battery cover of the handset.

2. Insert the battery (with the contacts facing down) into the compartment.

3. Close the battery cover.

4. Place the handset on the base unit. The CHARGE lamp will illuminate when the handset is properly seated on the base unit charging terminals. Charge the battery for more than 12 hours for a full charge.

Selecting the Dialing Mode

1. Press (PGM). The dialing keys will light up.

2. Move the toggle lever up or down until "DIAL MODE" appears on the display.

3. Press (SELECT).

4. Move the toggle lever up or down to select the dialing mode ("TONE" or "PULSE"), then press PGM.

Making and Receiving Calls

1. Press TALK and wait until "CONVERSATION" appears on the display.

2. Dial the telephone number.

3. When the conversation is finished, press OFF or place the handset on the base unit.

Receiving Calls

1. When you hear the phone ring, pick up the handset from the base unit and press TALK.

2. When the conversation is finished, press OFF or place the handset on the base unit.
