Basic Operation of the Trinitron Color Video Monitor

Powering On/Off: Press the POWER switch to turn the monitor on (indicator lights green) or off. Input Selection: Use the LINE A/LINE B/RGB buttons on the front panel to select the desired input source (LINE A, LINE B, or RGB). On-Screen Menus:
  • Press the MENU/EXIT button to display the menu.
  • Navigate through menus using the ↑ and buttons.
  • Select items or adjust settings using the ENTER button.
  • To return to the previous menu or the regular screen, press the MENU/EXIT button.
Adjustments: Common adjustments like VOLUME, CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, CHROMA, and PHASE can be accessed through the on-screen menus. Last Control Function: Pressing the ↑ or button when the menu is not displayed will bring up the last adjusted menu item for immediate adjustment.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Possible causes and remedies
If colors are not accurately reproduced The monitor input signal is deviated from the color system specifications (i.e. signals from VCRs). Proceed as follows to correct this phenomenon: 1. Confirm the color system of the input signal. 2. Select the same color system as that of the input signal on the COLOR SELECT menu. If the problem remains unsolved after corresponding color system is selected, briefly turn OFF the power, then turn ON the monitor again.
