Getting Started:

  • Charge and install the battery pack before using the camcorder.
  • Insert a cassette into the cassette compartment.

Basic Operations:

  • Camera Recording: Set the power switch to CAMERA, turn STANDBY up, and press START/STOP to begin recording. Press START/STOP again to pause and STANDBY down to stop.
  • Zooming: Use the power zoom lever to change the subject size.
  • LCD Screen: Open the LCD panel to record using the screen. Adjust brightness with the BRIGHT dial.

There is dust in the viewfinder Bubbles appear inside the lens. • Detach the eyecup and clean the viewfinder lens. (p. 39)
• When you use the camcorder where the air pressure is low such as on a mountain or in an airplane, you may find bubbles inside the lens. This is not a malfunction. Bubbles will usually disappear after about a week. But, how long it takes depends on the air pressure and use.
