Making Coffee Summary:
- Press the On/Off button to switch on the machine.
- Wait for the machine to heat up.
- Adjust the coffee spout height.
- Place a cup under the spout.
- Press the button for Espresso or Caffè Crema.
- The grinding and brewing process starts and stops automatically.
- Empty the grounds container, water tray and drip tray regularly.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| "Refill water” symbol is lit up. | Is the water tank empty? Fill the water tank with fresh water. Was the water tank pulled out during brewing? Reinsert the water tank. |
| "Refill beans" symbol is lit up. | Is the coffee bean compartment empty? Pour beans into the compartment. |
| "Empty coffee grounds" symbol is lit up or flashing. | Is the container full? Empty the container and the leftover water tray. Is the leftover water tray correctly inserted? Reinsert if necessary. |
| "Brewing unit" symbol is lit up. | Is the brewing unit or cover correctly in place? Check and ensure they are firmly in place. |
| "Descale" symbol is lit up. | The machine needs descaling. Descale the machine as described in the manual. |
| The coffee is not hot enough. | Preheat the cup before brewing. |
| The coffee is too weak. | Adjust the grinder to a finer setting or use the Intense* button. |
| The coffee flows slowly. | Adjust the grinder to a coarser setting. |
| Long heat up time or small amounts dispensed. | The machine needs descaling. Descale even if the symbol is not lit. |
