The OSMAC Base Station operates in two modes: Page Mode and Program Mode. Page Mode is used to send commands to satellite controllers. Program Mode is used to configure satellites, groups, and system features.
Commands can be sent via the built-in keypad, a hand-held radio with a DTMF keypad, or a telephone. The base station supports a database of satellite addresses from 1 to 399.
Enter the satellite address number followed by F1 to send a command. For example, to command satellite 33 to turn on station 17 for 5 minutes, enter 33 F1, then 75180517 F1.
Use the * 9 sequence to initiate a remote command. The base station will prompt for the pager number and message. Alternatively, the entire command sequence can be entered at once.
With REMOTE PAGING enabled, touch-tone commands can be sent via a telephone line. The process involves entering the pager number followed by #, then the message followed by #.
Use * 7 to initiate an autopatch call. Dial the number, press *, and the base station connects to the phone line.
Use * 6 followed by the memory number to dial stored phone numbers.
Calls can be routed from the telephone line to a two-way radio. Press * 5 to request a call, and the mobile user presses * to answer.
