Hold the blade-control bar against the handle. Pull the recoil-start handle lightly until resistance is felt, then pull sharply and allow it to return slowly.
Walk with hands on the upper handle and elbows at sides; the machine will automatically keep pace.
Release the blade-control bar. The engine and blade should stop within 3 seconds.
If the grass bag is on the machine, move the bag-on-demand lever to the recycling position.
Use the grass bag when you want to collect clippings. Move the bag-on-demand lever to the bagging position.
