1. Getting Started:
  • Loading Battery: Insert the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, ensuring correct polarity, and close the battery cover.
  • Charging Battery: Use the supplied AC charger or USB cable. The camcorder must be OFF during charging. A blinking light indicates charging, and a constant light signifies completion. Full charge time is approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours.
  • Inserting/Removing SD Card: Insert the memory card into the slot. To remove, press the card inwards to release it. A recommended capacity of 1GB or above is suggested.
  • Turning On/Off: Press the Power Button for one second to turn the camcorder on or off.
  • Recording Video: In Record Mode, press the Video Button to start recording and press again to stop.
  • Taking Photos: In Record Mode, press the Photo Button to take a photo.
  • Playback: Press the Playback Button to switch to Playback Mode to view stored videos and photos.
2. Modes and Functions:
  • Record Mode: Access Video Recording, Photo Recording, and various settings like resolution, light, zoom, and effects.
  • Playback Mode: Review recorded videos and photos, and delete files.
  • PC Camera Mode: Connect to a computer via USB to use the camcorder as a webcam for video conferencing.
  • Uploading Files: Use the built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER application to upload videos and photos to social websites.
3. Viewing on TV/PC:
  • TV: Connect via HDMI cable to an HDTV for playback.
  • PC: Transfer files using the USB cable and install bundled software (ArcSoft MediaImpression) for management and viewing.
4. Settings: Access various settings including Video, Photo, Effects, and Setup to customize camera functions.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Troubleshooting Item Solution
Files on memory card do not display smoothly (LCD shows "!") The "!" symbol indicates the SD card is too slow or corrupted. Format the SD card using the camcorder (refer to Section 5) or change to a high-speed SD/SDHC/SDXC card.
Indoor photos look blurry and dark The camcorder extends exposure time in low light. Keep the camcorder and subject steady for several seconds while taking photos.
Battery charging issues Ensure the camcorder is OFF when charging. Use only the supplied AC charger or USB cable. Charging time is approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours.
Disk "DV" (Internal Memory) Indicates the internal memory of the camcorder.
Disk "Removable Disk" (External Memory) Indicates the external memory (SD card) if inserted.
Disk "DVAP" (CAMILEO UPLOADER) Indicates the built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER application. Do not format or delete this disk to ensure proper function.
