Getting Started

  1. Insert Battery: Slide the safety latch to unlock and open the battery cover. Insert the battery according to polarity markings and close the cover, sliding the latch to lock. Remove the protective film from the battery connection before use.
  2. Insert SD Card (optional): Insert the memory card into the slot until it locks. To remove, press the card inward to release it, then pull it out.
  3. Charge Battery: Connect the supplied AC adapter or USB cable to the camcorder (ensure it is turned off). A blinking light indicates charging, and a solid light indicates charging is complete. In AC mode, the light turns off after 5 minutes.
  4. Power On: Flip the LCD touch screen outward or press and hold the Power button for one second.
  5. Record Movie: Press the Mode button or touch the screen icon to switch to Movie Record mode. Press the Record button to start/stop recording.
  6. Take Pictures: Press the Mode button or touch the screen icon to switch to Picture Record mode. Press the Record button to take pictures.
  7. Zoom: Use the T/W button to zoom in and out.
  8. Review: Press the Playback button to review movies/pictures.
  9. Advanced Options: Touch the Menu icon to display the wheel menu.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution

Battery issues Use only TOSHIBA recommended batteries. Charge between 5-35 degrees Celsius. Never install/remove battery without turning off power and disconnecting AC adapter. Use only supplied AC adapter or USB cable.
