Getting Started

  • Loading the Battery: Remove the insulator and insert the battery with correct polarity.
  • Charging the Battery: Use the supplied AC charger or USB cable while the camcorder is OFF. A blinking light indicates charging, solid light indicates completion.
  • Inserting/Removing SD Card: Open the cover, insert the card, and press inwards to remove. Recommended capacity is 1GB or above.
  • Turning On/Off: Flip out the LCD panel or press the Power Button for one second to turn on. To turn off, press Power Button for one second or return LCD panel to original position.
  • Recording Video: Press Video Button to start/stop. Pause/resume with Pause Button. Snapshot during video with Photo Button.
  • Taking Photos: Press Photo Button halfway to focus, then fully to capture.
  • Playback: Press Playback Button or touch the on-screen icon to switch to Playback mode.

Record Mode Basics

  • Use buttons like Video, Pause, Photo, Tele/Wide, Power, Playback, and Light for various functions.
  • The LCD monitor displays information like battery status, recording time, and available photos.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Troubleshooting Issue Solution
LCD preview is not clear, how to adjust focus? Try to switch between Macro and Normal Mode.
Files on memory card do not display smoothly (displays "!" marking). The "!" symbol means the SD card is too slow or corrupted. Format the SD card using the camcorder, or change to a high-speed SD/SDHC/SDXC card.
Indoor photos look blurry and dark. The camcorder extends exposure time in low light. Keep the camcorder and subject steady for several seconds.
How to charge battery? Use the supplied AC charger or USB cable with the camcorder turned OFF. A blinking light indicates charging; a solid light indicates completion. Full charge takes 4-5 hours.
After connecting the USB cable to the computer: The disk "DV" indicates internal memory. "Removable Disk" indicates external memory (SD card). "DVAP" indicates the built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER application. Do not format or delete the "DVAP" disk.
