To turn on the camcorder, flip the LCD touch screen outward or press the Power button. To record video, press the Video button. To take a still photo, press the Photo button. To view stored media, press the Playback button or touch the onscreen icon. To turn off the camcorder, press the Power button or close the LCD touch screen.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem/Question Possible Cause Solution
The preview on the LCD touch screen is not clear during recording. Macro and Normal modes Try switching between Macro and Normal modes.
Memory card files do not appear correctly when the LCD touch screen shows the "!" mark. Low SD card speed or corrupted files Format the SD™ card using the camcorder. Replace the SD card with a high-speed card.
Indoor photos appear dark and blurry. Extended exposure time in low light Hold the camcorder steady for several seconds while taking pictures.
How is the battery charged? Using AC adapter or USB cable Ensure the camcorder is OFF. A blinking light indicates charging; a solid light indicates a full charge.
After connecting the USB cable to the computer: Disk/Application identification 'DV' indicates internal memory. 'Removable Disk' indicates SD card. 'DVAP' indicates CAMILEO® Uploader.
