  • Overview: The Toshiba camcorder features an 8 Mega Pixel sensor for H.264 video recording, high-quality images up to 16 MP, a color LCD touch screen, HD video recording (1920x1080), HDTV connectivity via HDMI, a built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER, manual/automatic ISO and white balance, 16x digital zoom, and special effects like Time Lapse and Slow Motion. It also has built-in memory and an SD card slot for expandable storage.
  • Getting Started: Load the battery by opening the LCD screen, sliding off the battery cover, removing the battery, and pulling off the protective film. Reinsert the battery with correct polarity and close the cover. Charge the camcorder using the supplied AC adapter or USB cable; a blinking light indicates charging, and a solid light indicates completion. Insert an SD card by opening the cover and pushing it into the slot until it clicks. Ensure the SD card lock is in the writeable position for recording. To turn on, flip out the LCD screen or press the Power button. To turn off, press the Power button or close the LCD screen.
  • Record Mode: Use the Mode button to switch between Video and Photo modes. Press the Record button to start/stop video recording or take photos. Use the Tele (T) and Wide (W) buttons for zoom. The Pause button temporarily stops and resumes recording. The LED light button controls various light functions.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
LCD touch screen preview unclear during recording Try alternating between Macro and Normal modes.
Memory card files do not appear correctly or "!" mark is displayed The "!" symbol indicates a slow SD card or corrupted files. Format the SD card using the camcorder (see "Format" on page 51).
Indoor photos appear dark and blurry The camcorder extends exposure time for indoor or low-light conditions. Keep the camcorder steady for a few seconds while taking photos.
How to charge the battery Use the supplied AC adapter or USB cable. The camcorder must be OFF. A blinking light means charging, a solid light means charged. The light turns off automatically after 3-5 minutes in AC mode.
After connecting USB to computer:
  • "DV" drive indicates internal memory.
  • "Removable Disk" indicates external memory (SD card).
  • "DVAP" drive indicates the built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER application.
