Basic playback

  1. Press POWER to turn on the player.
  2. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a disc on the tray with the playback side down.
  4. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray.
  5. Press DISC SELECT to choose the desired disc if multiple are loaded.
  6. Press PLAY to start playback.

Stopping and Pausing Playback

  • Press PAUSE/STEP to pause playback. Press PLAY to resume.
  • Press STOP to stop playback completely.
  • Press REV PLAY to play in reverse (DVD video discs only).
  • Press OPEN/CLOSE to remove the disc.

Troubleshooting and error codes

No power. The power plug is disconnected. Connect the power plug securely into the wall outlet. 16

Brightness is unstable or noises are present in the playback pictures. The audio cable is not connected securely. Connect the audio cable securely into the appropriate jacks. 16, 17, 19
The DVD video player does not start playback. The audio receiver or TV is turned off. Turn on the equipment connected with the audio cable. 20
Playback does not follow the course of the disc's program. The setting of output sound format is incorrect. Select the proper audio setting. 33, 35, 39
Buttons do not work. The disc is dirty. Eject the disc and clean it. 9
