Transportation/Installation Precautions

  • Always use two people to transport and install the equipment, lifting only from designated areas.
  • Avoid holding movable parts like the control panel or ADU.
  • Use a dedicated outlet with the correct voltage and amperage.
  • Ensure the equipment is grounded.
  • Install in a suitable location, avoiding excessive heat, humidity, dust, vibration, and direct sunlight.
  • Provide adequate ventilation.
  • Maintain minimum clearances around the unit for operation (30 cm left, 80 cm right, 10 cm rear).
  • Install near an easily accessible socket outlet.
  • Securely plug in and fix the power cable to prevent tripping.
  • Replace any removed covers to prevent exposure of internal components.
  • Do not use ultrasonic humidifiers near the MFP.
  • Do not lift the machine by shaded areas.

General Precautions at Service

  • Turn the power OFF and unplug the cable before service, unless service requires power ON.
  • Wait at least 1 minute after power disconnection before handling connectors due to residual charge.
  • Disconnect the mains to de-energize phase conductors.
  • Clean around plug and socket outlets annually to prevent fire hazards.
  • Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly; ensure small parts are placed correctly.
  • Do not operate the equipment with parts removed.
  • Store PC boards in anti-static bags and use an anti-static wristband.

  • Avoid laser beam exposure; do not insert reflecting objects into the beam path.
  • Do not touch high-temperature sections (exposure lamp, fuser unit).
  • Do not touch high-voltage sections (chargers, power supply unit).
  • Ensure the equipment is not operating before touching dangerous areas (moving parts, laser exit).
  • Be careful of sharp edges when removing covers.
  • When servicing with power ON, avoid touching live or rotating parts and laser beams.
  • Use designated tools and measuring instruments.
  • Return the equipment to its original state and check operation after service.
  • Handle touch panels gently.
  • Keep plastic bags away from children.
  • Ensure harness covering is not damaged to prevent shock or fire.
