Connecting the Monitor:

  1. Connect the small end of the USB Y cable to the Mini USB port on the monitor.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB Y cable to a USB port on your computer. Use a second USB port if more power is needed.
  3. Connect the optional AC adaptor to the DC IN 19V jack for maximum brightness.

Using the Monitor:

  1. Press the Power button to turn the monitor on or off.
  2. Use the Brightness Up/Down buttons to adjust brightness.
  3. Switch between display modes (duplicate, extend, etc.) using Windows+P (Windows 7) or by right-clicking the monitor icon in the system tray (XP/Vista).

Disconnecting the Monitor:

  1. Press and hold the Power button for two seconds to turn off the monitor.
  2. Remove the USB cable(s) and optional AC adaptor.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution(s)
The monitor does not turn on Check the connections. Make sure the USB cable is firmly connected to the monitor. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, and then press the Power button again. Check the condition of the USB cable. If the cable is frayed or damaged, replace the cable. If the connectors are soiled, wipe them with a clean cloth.
The screen is blank, although the power is on Make sure the USB cable is properly connected to the computer. Make sure the computer is on and working. The computer may be in sleep or power-saving mode, or displaying a blank screen saver. Move the mouse to "wake up" the computer.
The picture "bounces" or moves in a wave-like pattern Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference away from the monitor.
