From Connection to Network Operation

Follow the steps below to set up and connect the camera to your PC.

You can use alarm video recording, bidirectional audio communications, and other standard features of the camera, in addition to normal live video monitoring.

  1. Install the lens to the camera.
  2. Connect the power cable to the power terminals (24-VAC or 12-VDC power supply). Do not turn on the camera until all connections are complete.
  3. Connect the network (LAN) socket to your PC using a LAN cable. Install the "H.264 Plug-in" from the supplied CD-ROM onto your PC.
  4. Connect a microphone and a speaker system to the audio input and output jacks.
  5. Connect necessary external devices to the alarm input/output terminals.
  6. Install an SD memory card into the SD card slot. The SD memory card must be formatted before use.
  7. Connect a monitor for focus adjustment to the monitor output socket.
  8. Turn on the camera. Live video appears on the monitor. Adjust lens focus using the FOCUS ASSIST screen. Remove the monitor cable after adjustment.
  9. Access the camera from your PC's Web browser. Live video appears on the live screen, allowing network operations.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Restarting camera Press the RESET button. OPTION SETTINGS (CAMERA REBOOT)
Stopping recording/Removing SD memory card Press the NEAR button for 2 seconds or more.
Doing so causes the power indicator to start blinking and then stay lit when the camera is ready for you to remove the SD memory card.
SD MEMORY CARD (SD MEMORY CARD)
Resuming stopped recording/Having camera recognize SD memory card Press the FAR button for 2 seconds or more.
The power indicator starts blinking and then stays lit when the camera has recognized the SD memory card.

Restoring factory default settings Press the NEAR and SET buttons simultaneously. OPTION SETTINGS (FACTORY DEFAULT)
Restoring factory default back focus position Press the NEAR and FAR buttons simultaneously. CAMERA SETTINGS (FOCUS ASSIST)
Resetting login password (for default users only) Press the FAR and SET buttons simultaneously. Not supported via network operation
