Installation Sequence

Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Installing the boiler and making all connections: Prepare gas, water, and power connections using the provided template. (Page 6)
  2. Flue gas connection: Connect the flue outlet to the chimney, ensuring proper cross-section match and clearance. Create a test port. (Page 7)
  3. Gas connection: Install a gas shut-off valve, perform a leak/soundness test (max 150 mbar), and vent the gas supply pipe. (Page 7)
  4. Opening the control unit: Access and open the control unit. (Page 8)
  5. Electrical connections: Connect power supply, fuse, ionization lead, and optional components like the cylinder temperature sensor and Vitotrol 100. Ensure correct core terminations and appropriate fuse rating (max 16 A). (Pages 9-10)
  6. Routing connecting cables: Secure cables to avoid contact with hot components. (Page 11)

Commissioning, Inspection, Maintenance

These steps are crucial after installation:

  1. Filling and venting the heating system: Ensure correct fill water quality and system pressure (min > 0.8 bar). (Page 14)
  2. Checking gas type: Verify and record the gas type and Wobbe index. Convert burner if necessary. (Page 15)
  3. Checking static and supply pressure: Measure and record pressures according to specifications. (Pages 16-17)
  4. Checking the nozzle pressure: Select upper and lower outputs and test nozzle pressure, adjusting as needed. (Pages 18-21)
  5. Draining the boiler or heating system: Only drain when water temperature is below 40°C and the diverter valve servomotor is in its center position. (Page 22)
  6. Checking and cleaning the burner: Perform after switching off power and closing the gas shut-off valve. (Page 22)
