Basic Operation:

  • Ensure the stairlift is parked at the top or bottom with the platform folded and bars in rest position. Turn the master switch ON.
  • Insert the key into the control board and turn to ON.
  • Lower the platform by pressing the provided button.
  • For B.R./B.I. versions, bring the down side bar to the working position. For B.C. versions, ensure the down side guard is lowered.
  • Get onto the platform facing the travel direction. Lock wheelchair brakes and turn off electric wheelchairs.
  • Press the UP button (Fig. 9/c) to automatically move guards and bars to the safety position and start the lift.
  • At the destination, press the UP button again to move to drive-off position or press the DOWN button (Fig. 9/d) to move to safety position and start descent.
  • Return the lift to its initial condition by folding the platform and setting bars to rest, then turn the key OFF and remove it.

Important Cautions:

  • Never overload the lift.
  • Do not press two buttons simultaneously.
  • The transported person must remain still and in the recommended position.
  • Always keep access to the platform and master switch unrestricted.
  • Ensure landings and travel routes are illuminated.
  • Never leave the platform halfway up the staircase.
  • Never use the stairlift without a trained person available for manual operation in an emergency.

Troubleshooting and error codes
