Manufacturer's warranty covers defects for 3 years from purchase, excluding normal wear and tear or misuse.
1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the device. Insert 4 alkaline batteries (LR 6), observing polarity. Close the compartment.
2. Apply Cuff: Expose the left arm. Place the cuff 2-3 cm above the elbow, with the hose in the middle of the arm bend. Close the cuff so two fingers fit between the arm and cuff. Connect the cuff hose to the air socket.
3. Inflate and Measure: Press the Start/Stop button. The device will perform a self-test. The cuff inflates while blood pressure and pulse are measured. The "A" symbol flashes, and a beep indicates pulse rate. Inflation stops when readings are determined. The cuff deflates automatically. Measurement ends with a long beep.
4. Read Results: Systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate are displayed. The values are automatically saved.
5. Turn Off: Press the Start/Stop button. The device turns off.
| Error Displayed | Possible Error / Cause | Remedy |
|---|---|---|
| Err-300 | Cuff overpressure. Movement of arm/body caused cuff to inflate to maximum. | Repeat measurement. Do not move arm or speak. |
| Err-1 | Measurement error. Measurement could not be performed due to arm/body movement. | Repeat measurement. Do not move arm or speak. |
| Err-2 | Inflation error. Pressure built up too quickly or too slowly. | Check air plug seating, repeat measurement. |
| 0 / 0 | Measurement faulty. Start/Stop button accidentally pressed during battery change. | Switch device off and on again with the Start/Stop button. |
| Measurement interrupted and cuff deflated then reinflated. | Device detects error or diastolic value is too low. Movement during measurement. | Device shows no error. Repeat measurement. If necessary, abort measurement, wait 5 minutes, and re-measure. |
