Warranty Information

This warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for one year from the purchase date under normal usage.

  • Powering On/Off: Flip out the LCD panel or press the Power Button for one second to turn the camera on. Press the Power Button again or close the LCD panel to turn it off.
  • Recording Movies: Press the Mode Button or touch the movie icon to enter Movie Record Mode. Press the OK Button to start recording and press it again to stop.
  • Taking Pictures: Press the Mode Button or touch the picture icon to enter Picture Record Mode. Press the OK Button halfway to focus, then fully to take the picture.
  • Playback: Press the Playback Button to enter Playback Mode. Use the Rolling Wheel to navigate through pictures/movies. Press the OK Button to validate selections or start/stop slideshows.
  • Connecting to TV: Use the HDMI cable for HD TVs or the AV cable for standard TVs to view pictures and movies on a larger screen. Ensure the correct input source is selected on the TV.
  • Software Installation: Connect the camera to a computer using the USB cable and follow the on-screen prompts to install the Vivitar Experience Image Manager software.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
LCD preview not clear Try switching between Macro and Auto Mode.
Flash not working Check battery power (low) or if the camera is in DC power mode.
Memory card files not displaying smoothly with "!" marking Format the SD card using the camera (not a PC).
Camera flash not active when taking pictures In auto flash mode, flash only fires when necessary (e.g., in the dark).
Indoor pictures blurry and dark Keep the camera steady for several seconds during exposure.
How to charge battery Use the supplied AC charger or USB cable. Camera must be OFF. Blinking light indicates charging; solid light means charging is complete.
Images transferred but not appearing on computer Ensure photos were taken. Upload quickly before camera powers off. If saved to SD card, they should appear.
How to avoid losing important pictures Regularly download photos to your computer.
