Operation Summary

This manual guides you through the operation of your Bessa rangefinder camera. Key operations include:

• Mounting/Removing Lenses: Aligning the red marks for M-mount lenses and using the lens release button for removal.
• Inserting Batteries: Located at the bottom, use LR44 or SR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
• Loading Film: Open the back door, insert the film cartridge, secure the film leader, advance the film, and check sprocket engagement.
• Film Speed Setting: Lift and turn the Film Speed Ring to match the film's ASA/ISO.
• Exposure Metering: Utilize the viewfinder's LED indicators to determine correct exposure. The camera offers Shutter Speed Priority and Aperture Priority modes.
• Focusing: Use the rangefinder's superimposed images or split-image for accurate focus.
• Holding the Camera: Proper grip and posture for stable shooting.
• Rewinding Film: Press the rewind button, unfold and turn the crank, then open the back door to remove the film.
• "B" (Bulb) Setting: For exposures longer than one second, useful for night photography, use a tripod.
• Flash Photography: Fit flash to the accessory shoe, set appropriate shutter speed and aperture.
