Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault Symptoms Probable cause Trouble Point Remedy
LESS COOLING Supply Air is cold but room is not cooled. 1 Excessive Cooling load 1 Room is too large for choosen capacity. 1 Recalculate the cooling load.
2 Direct Sunlight enters the room being cooled. Do not insatall air conditioner near heater and other sources.
2 Compressor is operating, but supply air is not cooled sufficiently 1 Defective refrigerating cycle. 1 Refrigerant leakage from the brazed section in piping. Check each section w ith halogen gas leak detector and repair it immediately w hen a leaking section is detected.
DOES NOT COOL AT ALL compressor stops soon after starting 1 variation of pow er sourse voltage and pow er sourse capacity compressor becomes overloaded and stops w ith the actuation of overload relay check for direct sunlight on air conditioner
supply voltage is not in range of +- 10% of rated use stabilizers for regulated pow er supply
compressor becomes overloaded and stops w ith the actuation of overload relay check for any sunlight on air conditioner
4 defective refrigerating cycle and overload check electrical w ire and compressor running capacitor w ith capacitor replace the defective capacitor
5 defective compressor check compressor w inding resistance and compare w ith specification repair refrigerating cycle and overload relay
Fan motor does not run 1 poor contact of plug, broken w ire, sw itches thermistor measure the continuity of cord or voltage w ith a tester replace any defective compressor
check the broken connection in fan motor itself burnt and effect replace any plug or part w ith poor contact or cord w ith broken arive
fan motor is running but compressor does not operate 1 variation of pow er sourse voltage and pow er sourse capacitor supply voltage is not in range of ~ 10% of rated check with DC motor testing jig if faulty replace the
check for any direct sunlight on air conditioner replace the
DOES NOT COOL AT ALL compressor is operating but air is not cooled at all 1 gas leakage measure the voltage and current abonormality replace the defective capacitor
2 compressor w ith defective valve Check each section w ith halogen gas leak detector and repair it immediately w hen a leaking section is detected.
3 compressor w ith damaged piping suspension spring replace any defective component
compressor noise 1 observe for any normal noise 1 replace the compressor
Knocking noise 2 blow er fan or pro fan hitting w ith foreign material 2 check for any object around fan 2 remove any foreign material from the system
NOISE & VIBRATION Reasoning noise due to vibration 1 Installation is not proper and parts of air conditioner are loose or internal parts of the compressor are damaged 1 Check the degree of vibrationand installation with accuracy 1 take proper measure to correct
1 Water dripping inside room 1 Tilted unit installation 1 Check unit installation 1 if necessary reinstall the unit
WATER DRIPPING 2 Air filter may be dirty or clogged 2 Check air filter, clean dirty filter
