BAKING

  1. Position oven racks as desired.
  2. Set the Oven Selector to BAKE.
  3. Set the Oven Temperature Control to the desired baking temperature.
  4. Allow the oven to preheat until the Signal Light turns off.
  5. Place food in the oven.
  6. When baking is complete, turn both knobs to OFF.

BROILING

  1. Place rack in the broiling position.
  2. Put broiler pan and food on the rack.
  3. Swing broil stop clips over hinge slots.
  4. Close the door to the stops (door must be partly open).
  5. Set Oven Selector to BROIL.
  6. Set Oven Temperature Control to BROIL (or a lower setting for slower broiling).
  7. When broiling is done, turn both knobs to OFF, move broil stop clips, and close the door.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Oven will not operate Oven Selector not set to BAKE or BROIL (not TIMED). Set Oven Selector to BAKE or BROIL.
Oven Temperature Control not set to a temperature. Set Oven Temperature Control to desired temperature.
Oven not correctly wired into a live circuit with proper voltage. Check wiring (see Installation Instructions).
Main fuse or circuit-breaker box issue. Check fuse or circuit breaker.
Visible soil on continuous-cleaning oven finish Special finish gradually reduces soil during normal baking/roasting. Not designed to keep oven spotless, only presentably clean.
Frequent broiling. More oven soil may be visible.
Door is cooler than oven walls. Soil may be more visible on the door. See page 12 for Hand Cleaning.
Cooking results not as expected Oven is not level. Ensure oven is level.
Incorrect pans used. Use pans recommended in the Cooking Guide.
Insufficient air circulation for baking. Allow 1-2 inches (4-5 cm) on all sides of pans.
Oven temperature inaccurate. See page 4 for Resetting the Oven Temperature Control.
Oven not preheated. Preheat oven as recipe calls for.
Incorrect pan size used. Use pan sizes called for in the recipe.
Recipe not followed precisely. Follow a tested recipe from a reliable source.
Utensils have uneven bottoms. Ensure cooking utensils have smooth, flat bottoms.
