Troubleshooting and error codes

GENERAL USE Possible causes and/or recommended solutions
Refrigerator does not operate
  • Not connected to power supply - Connect the power cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  • No power in outlet - Plug in a lamp to see if the outlet works.
  • Fuse is blown or a circuit breaker has tripped - Replace the fuse or reset the breaker. If the problem persists, contact a qualified electrician.
  • Temperature control or cooling is not activated - Activate the refrigerator or freezer control. See "Using the Controls".
  • New installation - Wait 24 hours after installation for the refrigerator and freezer to cool completely.
  • NOTE: Setting the temperature controls to the coldest setting will not cool the compartment faster.
  • Refrigerator is in Showroom Mode (on some models) - If the refrigerator is in Showroom Mode, cooling is disabled and "Showroom" will light up on the control panel. See "Using the Controls" for more information.
Motor seems to run excessively
  • Your new refrigerator has a high-efficiency motor. It may run longer than your old appliance because the compressor and fans run at lower speeds for more energy efficiency. This is normal.
