Connecting to Your Computer: Connect the AUDIOGRAM interface to your computer via a single USB cable. No driver installation is required as it uses standard operating system drivers.

Software Included: Comes with Cubase AI DAW software for recording and mixdown.

Setup: Connect microphones, instruments, keyboards, and powered speakers. Ensure proper power-up sequence.

Recording: Use Cubase AI to set up devices, select audio inputs, and enable recording. Adjust GAIN and LEVEL controls to avoid clipping.

Mixing & Playback: Record and playback tracks within Cubase AI. Adjust levels, panning, and add effects. Export mixes as WAV or AIFF files.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause/Solution
The AUDIOGRAM interface won't turn on.
  • Is the included USB cable properly plugged into the interface and a computer?
The system doesn't work properly.
  • Are the USB cable and all necessary audio cables properly connected?
  • Are you using a USB hub? Try connecting directly to the computer.
  • Are you using other USB devices at the same time? Try removing them.
The Input ports are not shown (Windows Vista)
  • Is the sound input of your computer operating system assigned properly? Check "Sound" control panel, "Recording" tab, and select "USB Audio CODEC" as default. Ensure "Default Format" is set correctly.
No sound.
  • Are speaker cables connected properly?
  • Are volume controls set appropriately?
  • Is the computer's output muted?
  • Quit all unnecessary applications.
  • Is the sound output of your computer operating system assigned properly? Check "Sound" control panel, "Playback" and "Recording" tabs, select "USB Audio CODEC" as default device.
  • Is the sound output of the Cubase Al application assigned properly? (Refer to Quick Guide page 8)
The recorded sound is too low in level.
  • Set the computer output to maximum level and mute the internal speaker.
  • (Windows Vista) Go to "Sound" control panel, "Playback" tab, "USB Audio CODEC" Properties, "Levels" tab, and set volume to maximum. Select "No sounds" in "Sound Scheme".
  • (Windows XP) Go to "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties", "Volume" tab, set "Device volume" to "High". "Sound" tab, select "No sound" in "Sound scheme".
  • (Macintosh) Select "Sound" preferences, "Output" tab, set volume slider to maximum. "Sound Effect" tab, set "Alert volume" to minimum. Check and raise output level if necessary.
The sound is intermittent or distorted.
  • Is the PEAK indicator flashing red? Lower GAIN or LEVEL controls.
  • Are you applying the compressor at an appropriate level? Lower COMP control levels.
  • Does the computer meet system requirements?
  • Are other applications running? Quit them.
  • Are you playing back too many audio tracks? Reduce the number of tracks.
  • Are you recording/playing long continuous sections? Ensure sufficient CPU and external device performance.
  • (Windows XP) Adjust "Hardware acceleration" to "Full" and "Sample rate conversion quality" to "Good" in "Advanced Audio Properties" under "Performance" tab.
