To Service Personnel

• Critical components are marked with A and must be replaced with exact specifications.
• Leakage current must not exceed 0.5mA. Test with AC plug in both polarities.
• Fuses (F901) must be replaced with the same type (2A, 125V).
• Be aware of the chemical content notice regarding California regulations. Do not place components in your mouth and avoid prolonged skin contact with solder.
• Use lead-free solder (Sn+Ag+Cu, Sn+Cu, or Sn+Zn+Bi) and a soldering iron suitable for its higher melting point.
• Laser Safety: Maintain distance from the laser pick-up unit (30cm/1ft), do not stare at the beam, and do not attempt adjustments not specified in the manual.
• Power Supply Warning: The primary side carries live voltage even when the unit is off. Take precautions to avoid touching these areas.
• ESD Prevention: Follow grounding procedures, use antistatic tools, and handle ES devices carefully to prevent damage.
• Disassembly: Remove parts in numbered order. Disconnect AC power. Steps include removing top panel, side panels, front panel, various PCBs, loader mechanism, and power transformers.
• Installation: Reverse the disassembly steps. Specific instructions are provided for installing the loader mechanism, ensuring proper alignment and clearance.

Playback of Music Files Stored on a PC

• Connect PC via USB cable (Type B).
• Install the dedicated "Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver" from the provided URL.
• Set the PC's audio output to "Yamaha CD Player".
• Operate the PC to start playback. Sampling frequency will be displayed.
• To optimize sound quality, set PC volume to max and adjust amplifier volume gradually.
• Notes: Do not disconnect USB, turn off unit, or change source during playback. Operate PC for music control.
