Getting Started

  • Installation Precautions: Avoid places with extreme temperature/humidity, poor ventilation, dust, vibration, water, or instability. Do not face the lens towards the sun.
  • Accessory Check: Verify all included cables, remote control, batteries, lens cap, and owner's manual are present.
  • Remote Control Setup: Insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.

Controls and Functions

  • Familiarize yourself with the projector overview (top, side, bottom views) and the control panel buttons (Power, Menu, Keystone, etc.).
  • Understand the rear panel connections (AC IN, HDMI, D-SUB, etc.).
  • Learn to use the remote control buttons for various functions.

Using the Remote Control

  • Operate within 10m range and 30° angles to the sensor. Avoid direct sunlight or fluorescent lamps near the sensor.
  • Vertical directions for operation and ceiling mount are shown.

Installation

  • Screen Setup: Install screen perpendicularly. Adjust projection angle if necessary.
  • Table Mount: Determine distance based on screen size. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Ceiling Mount: Requires special brackets and professional installation.

Connections

  • Connect video players, DVD players, HDTV decoders, and computers using appropriate cables (HDMI, DVI, D-SUB, etc.).
  • Ensure power is OFF before connecting.

Projection

  • Remove lens cap, turn on equipment, select input source.
  • Adjust image size and focus.
  • Use KEYSTONE adjustment for image distortion.
  • IRIS function adjusts contrast.

Stopping Projection

  • Press STANDBY/ON, wait for cooling period.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Power can not be turned on. Check indicator lights. Connect power cable. Ensure projector has cooled down if warm air was blocked. Clean ventilation grilles. Replace lamp if steady red indicator persists after checking other issues.
No image appears on the screen. Check lens cap is removed. Wait for lamp to warm up. Ensure fans have completed cooling cycle if projector was turned off abruptly. Check air intake vent and lamp cover. Verify connected cables. Check STATUS indicator for orange blinking, indicating blocked vents. Remove obstructions and follow restart procedure. Replace lamp if steady red indicator appears.
Projected images suddenly disappear. See solutions for 'No image appears on the screen'.
"NO SIGNAL" is displayed. Turn on connected equipment. Check if external equipment is outputting signals. Ensure cables are connected correctly and securely. Select the correct input source. Use an extension cord with an RGB signal amplifier if necessary.
Projected images are shaking. Check if output signal is intermittent. Connect cable firmly. Press AUTO SYNC. Adjust SIGNAL menu for out-of-spec signals.
Projected images are displaced. Adjust projector and screen to be perpendicular. Adjust HORIZ. POSITION and TRACKING.
Projected images are distorted. Adjust projector and screen to be perpendicular.
Projected images are dark. Adjust BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST in IMAGE menu. Replace lamp.
Projected images are blurred. Adjust focus. Clean the lens.
White dots are seen on projected images. Press cursor buttons to eliminate flicker. Adjust TRACKING and PHASE in SIGNAL menu.
Black dots are seen on projected images. Adjust BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST in IMAGE menu.
Rainbow effect is seen on projected images. This is normal for a DLP projector.
Fine streaks are seen on projected images. This is due to color breaking noise, normal for DLP.
Projected images become wavy. Connect cable plugs securely. Keep projector away from interfering equipment. Adjust keystone minimally.
Hue is not appropriate. Check D-SUB INPUT in SIGNAL menu. Check D-SUB cable.
Tint in projected images is incorrect. Check D-SUB cable.
Only the motion areas in the images supplied from the computer are not displayed. Caused by the computer. Contact manufacturer. Match computer output resolution.
Projected images are obscured. Use projector without keystone adjustment.
Exhaust vents emit warm air. Normal during cooling.
Menu can not be used. Restart projector and computer.
"TEMPERATURE!!" is displayed. Ambient temperature is high. Lamp may go out. Eliminate causes of temperature rise.
The symbol appears. Air intake or exhaust vent is blocked. Remove obstructions.
Remote control does not function easily or at all. Check batteries. Check sensor exposure. Use within operating range. Keep 10cm away from projector.
Abnormal sound is heard. Color wheel spinning at high speed.
Projector does not turn on (after lamp replacement). Fit lamp cover securely. Reset lamp operating time.
STATUS indicator blinks (after lamp replacement). Reset lamp operating time.
