\n Turning the power on and off\n Press the STANDBY/ON button. The STANDBY indicator goes out. The unit can be controlled from the remote control when the power cable is connected to the AC outlet.\n
\n Direct start function\n Press the TUNER button (on the main unit) or the TUNER button (on the remote control) while the unit is in standby mode to turn it on automatically and activate the selected source.\n
\n Selecting the source\n Press the INPUT button to cycle through sources like DVD, VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2, FM, and AM. Disc play automatically stops when the source is changed.\n
\n Adjusting the volume\n Turn the VOLUME control or use the +/– VOLUME buttons on the remote. The volume level is displayed (VOL 0 – VOL 39, MAX).\n
\n Reducing volume temporarily\n Press the MUTE button to temporarily mute the sound. Press it again to restore the volume.\n
\n Bass extension\n Press the BASS button to select from BASS OFF, BASS ON1, and BASS ON2 for enhanced bass.\n
\n Selecting the sound mode\n Press the MUSIC button to choose sound modes like POP, CLASSIC, ROCK, and JAZZ to match the source material.\n
\n What to do if...\n If the unit or display is not normal, disconnect the power cable, then press and hold both BASS and MUSIC buttons while reconnecting the power cable. \"RESET\" will appear on the display. Resume operation.\n
\n Adjusting the clock\n Use the SHIFT + CLOCK buttons to access clock settings. Use SHIFT + ADJUST buttons to set hours and minutes, then TUNING +/– buttons to adjust the values. Press SHIFT + ADJUST again to confirm.\n

Troubleshooting and error codes

The playback picture is poor. An unplayable disc is loaded. Load a playable disc. (Check the disc logo, type, color system and regional code.)
ˆ appears on the TV screen. The selected function does not operate on the current disc. The feature or action cannot be completed at this time because:
The feature is not available at the moment.
The DVD software restricts it.
The DVD software does not support the feature (e.g., angles).
The DVD player does not start play. No disc is loaded. Load a disc.
An unplayable disc is loaded. Load a playable disc. (Check the disc logo, type, color system and regional code.)
The disc is loaded with the label side down. Load the disc on the disc tray correctly.
The disc is dirty. Clean the disc or replace it.
"PARENTAL" is set. Cancel the parental lock function or change the rating level. Reset it after play.
The operation or display is not normal. The memory must be reset. 1. Disconnect the power cable of the unit.
2. While pressing both BASS and MUSIC buttons at the same time, connect the power cable.
3. Resume operation.
The remote control does not work properly. The batteries in the remote control are weak, or installed incorrectly. Check the battery polarity (+ or -).
Replace the batteries.
The remote control is not aimed at the remote control sensor. Aim the remote control at the remote control sensor.
