  • Charging: Open the controller cover and connect the USB power cable to a computer or other device. The indicator lights orange. A full charge takes about two hours, providing approximately seven hours of playback.
  • Turning on: Press and hold the function key for approximately five seconds. The indicator lights blue for two seconds.
  • Turning off: Press and hold the function key for approximately two seconds. The indicator lights orange for one second.
  • Pairing with a Bluetooth device: Turn off earphones. Press and hold function key until indicator lights orange. Then press and hold function key until indicator flashes blue and orange alternately (more than eight seconds). On your Bluetooth device, go to Bluetooth settings, enable Bluetooth, and select "EPH-W53 Yamaha".
  • Establishing a Bluetooth connection: Press and hold the function key until the indicator lights blue (about five seconds). The earphones turn on and connect to the most recently connected Bluetooth device.
  • Listening to music: Use the function key to play/pause. Press and hold + key to skip to the next song, and - key to go to the beginning of the song or previous song. Short press + key to increase volume, - key to decrease.
  • Using the phone: Short press function key once to answer/end a call. Press and hold function key for more than three seconds to ignore a call. Short press + or - key to adjust conversation volume.
  • Voice commands: Double press the function key to activate voice control (e.g., Siri) on your connected Bluetooth device.

Troubleshooting and error codes

  • Make sure volume is not too low on the audio player or smartphone.

Unusual sounds are heard Check the indicator. If it flashes orange, the battery is less than 10% charged.
Cannot establish a Bluetooth connection
  • Make sure the Bluetooth function of the audio player or smartphone is turned on.
  • If a connection cannot be established, try performing the pairing operation again.
