Basic Operation:
1. Press the z button to turn on the unit.
2. Turn on the external devices (such as a TV or BD/DVD player, game console) connected to the unit.
3. Use the input buttons to select an input source to be played back.
- HDMI: Sound from a device connected to the HDMI IN jack
- TV: TV audio
- ANALOG: Sound from a device connected to the ANALOG input jack
- BLUETOOTH: Sound from a Bluetooth device
The indicator for the selected input source glows.

4. Start playback on the external device selected in step 3.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| Problem | Possible Cause and Solution |
|---|---|
| Unit does not power on | Protection circuit activated three times consecutively. Unplug the unit and contact Yamaha. |
| Touch panel not working | Touch panel control is disabled. Enable touch panel control (see page 37). |
| All indicators off, but unit is on | Unit configured to show indicators only when operated. Press DIMMER to adjust brightness (see page 35). |
| Unit does not function correctly | Internal microcomputer frozen due to power surge or voltage drop. Unplug and replug the power cord. |
| Unit turns on by itself | Another Bluetooth device is operating nearby. Terminate Bluetooth connection (see page 32). |
| TV 3D glasses not working | Unit blocking TV’s 3D glasses transmitter. Reposition unit. |
| No HDMI video on TV screen | HDMI cable not connected properly. Connect HDMI cable properly (see pages 22, 23). |
