Loading the Camera: Open the side cover by turning the lock lever. Insert the Super 8 film cartridge with the label side up and film towards the lens. Press the rear edge of the cartridge to lock it in place. Close and lock the side cover. The camera automatically sets the ASA speed.
Filming Speeds: Select from 18, 12, or 24 frames per second by turning the Filming Speed Dial to align with the index. 18 fps is standard. 12 fps accelerates motion, while 24 fps slows it down.
Exposure Control: Align the red point on the Brightness Control Ring with the index. The through-the-lens SERVOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEM ensures automatic exposure. Gently press the shutter release to activate the system, and wait for the aperture scale to stop moving before fully pressing the release to begin filming.
Focusing: Press the Tele (Zoom) Lens Button to zoom to the extreme position. For distant subjects, set the focus ring to infinity and adjust the Dioptric Adjustment Ring for clear viewing. For closer subjects, focus by rotating the Focusing Ring until the image in the microprism is sharp.
