Operation Summary

The GM series units are air-cooled or water-cooled (optional) condensing refrigeration units constructed with a monoblock unit concept. They consist of an external condensing unit, an internal evaporator unit, an electrical control and command panel, and an optional remote control panel. The cooling process involves low-pressure vaporization of a liquid refrigerant (HFC), followed by mechanical compression to a higher pressure and subsequent condensation.

Defrosting is automatic, either by hot gas injection or electric heaters, with pre-programmed cycles and manual override capabilities. The machine's operation is managed through a control panel with various buttons and an LED display showing temperature, status, and alarms. The unit is powered by a single-phase or three-phase electrical network.

Installation requires careful consideration of ventilation, proximity to heat sources, and proper connection of condensate drain lines. Maintenance involves periodic cleaning of the condenser and regular checks of electrical components. Troubleshooting guides are provided for common issues such as compressor lock-out, ice formation, and alarm signals.

Troubleshooting and error codes

ALLARME DISPLAY CAUSA SOLUZIONE
High Temperature (AH1) Red alarm LED and relay activate; code HI appears in the alarm section. Excessive door openings. Excessive product load in the cabinet. Product load too warm. Malfunctioning of the refrigerating system. Intervention by technical assistance.
Low Temperature (AL1) Red alarm LED and relay activate; AL1 appears in the alarm section. Malfunctioning of the electronic controller. Intervention by technical assistance.
Environment Probe (E1) Red alarm LED and relay activate; E1 appears on the display. Faulty probe. Probe not correctly connected. Probe replacement.
Evaporator Probe (E2) Red alarm LED and relay activate; E2 appears on the display, alternating with the internal cabinet temperature. Faulty probe. Probe not correctly connected. Probe replacement.
Condensation Probe (E3) Red alarm LED and relay activate; E3 appears on the display, alternating with the internal cabinet temperature. Faulty probe. Probe not correctly connected. Probe replacement.
Condensation Temperature If condensation temperature exceeds factory-set value, red alarm LED activates. AH3 appears in the alarm section. Dirty condenser. Condenser cleaning.
High Pressure (nPA) Each intervention of the high-pressure switch activates the alarm LED. If interventions exceed 10 per hour, the unit locks out. Alarm relay activates; nPA appears in the alarm section. To unlock, switch off and on. Verify condenser fan operation. Verify condenser cleaning. Switch off the refrigeration unit, wait a few seconds, and switch it back on.
Voltage Monitor (EA) Electronic device monitors supply voltage. Deviations over +/- 12% trigger the device. Red LED and alarm LED activate. EA appears in the alarm section. Unit remains off for ~6 minutes then restarts if conditions permit. First time startup requires ~7 minutes of monitoring with the unit ON but in OFF state. Incorrect supply voltage. Ensure correct supply voltage.
Alarm Door Open (Opd) Appears if door is open after a delay (tdO=60 min). Flashing signal LED. Opd label recorded in AL menu. Manual alarm relay acknowledgement. LED and AL signal remain active until the door is closed. - -
