Your new washing machine

This new machine meets all modern requirements for effective treatment of laundry with low water, energy and detergent consumption.

  • The temperature selector dial will allow you to choose the most suitable temperature for your laundry.

Use

Control panel

  1. Programme chart: Helps choose the most suitable washing programme.
  2. "NO SPINNING" button: Excludes all spinnings for "intense" programmes.
  3. 1/2 button: Reduces rinses for energy and water saving.
  4. On/off lamp: Lights when the appliance is operating.
  5. Temperature selector: Selects washing temperature.
  6. Program selector: Selects the required program by turning the dial clockwise.

Washing hints

  • Sorting the laundry: Follow wash code symbols and sort by whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, woollens.
  • Temperatures: Use appropriate temperatures (90°, 60°, 30°-40°, cold) based on fabric type and soiling.
  • Before loading: Do not mix whites and colours. Wash new coloured items separately. Empty pockets. Button up items. Treat persistent stains before washing.
  • Maximum loads: Respect load sizes for different fabric types (cotton/linen, synthetics, delicates/woollens) for efficient use of water and energy.
  • Laundry weights: Approximate weights provided for common laundry items.
  • Removing stains: Pre-treat stubborn stains with appropriate methods for blood, oil, grease, rust, mould, grass, ink, lipstick, red wine.
  • Detergents and additives: Choose detergent based on fabric, colour, temperature, and soiling. Use recommended quantities. Pour into correct dispenser compartments.

Operating sequence

  1. First wash recommendation: Run an empty cotton cycle at 60°C.
  2. Place laundry in drum.
  3. Measure detergent.
  4. Measure additives.
  5. Select temperature.
  6. Select option push button/s.
  7. Select programme and start. Ensure door is closed, appliance plugged in, water tap on, diaphragm lid secure, and drain hose positioned correctly. Pull program dial to start.
  8. At the end of the programme: Machine stops automatically. Wait before opening. Drain water if necessary. Remove laundry. Turn tap off, unplug. Leave door ajar.

Maintenance

  • Bodywork: Clean with warm water and mild detergent.
  • Detergent dispenser drawer: Clean periodically.
  • Cleaning of the drainage area: Clean if pump is blocked.
  • Water inlet hose filter: Clean if water is hard.
  • Emergency emptying out: Procedure for water discharge if pump or filter is blocked.
  • Frost precautions: Steps to take if the machine is in a place where temperatures could drop below 0°C.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible cause
The machine does not start up: The door is not firmly closed.
The machine is not plugged in or there is no power at the socket.
The main fuse has blown.
The programme selector is not positioned correctly or the programme selector knob has not been pulled out.
The machine does not fill: The water tap is closed.
The inlet hose is squashed or kinked.
The filter in the inlet hose is blocked.
The door is not properly closed.
The machine fills then empties immediately: The end of the drain hose is too low. Refer to relevant paragraph in "water drainage" section.
The drain hose is squashed or kinked.
The "half load" option has been selected.
The laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum.
The drainage area is blocked. Clean it.
The machine does not empty and/or does not spin: See "The machine fills then empties immediately" section.
There is water on the floor: Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent (creates too much foam) has been used.
Check whether there are any leaks from one of the inlet hose fittings. It is not always easy to see this as the water runs down the hose; check to see if it is damp.
The drain hose is damaged.
Check that the diaphragm lid is correctly screwed into place.
Unsatisfactory washing results: Too little detergent or unsuitable detergent has been used.
Stubborn stains have not been treated prior to washing.
The correct temperature was not selected.
Excessive laundry load.
The machine vibrates or is noisy: The transit bolts and packing have not been removed.
The support feet have not been adjusted.
The laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum.
Maybe there is very little laundry in the drum.
The door will not open: The programme is still running.
The door lock has not been released.
There is water in the drum.
