Your New Washing Machine
This washing machine offers reduced consumption of water, energy, and detergent. It features a temperature selector dial for personalized washing and automatic cooling of wash water to protect drainage pipes. For ecological operation, wash full loads, use prewash only for heavily soiled items, and measure detergent accurately. Ensure materials marked with the recycling symbol are disposed of correctly. When scrapping the appliance, disable the power cord and door mechanism to prevent child entrapment. Follow this instruction book carefully for optimal use and maintenance. The appliance is designed for domestic use and should not be overloaded. Always empty pockets, and do not wash garments saturated with flammable liquids. Use a mesh bag for small items like socks. Do not overfill with fabric softener. Leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to preserve the seal and prevent odors. Always unplug and turn off the water tap after use. | The machine does not start up: | Check that the door is firmly closed. Check that the machine is plugged in and that there is power at the socket. Check that the main fuse has not blown. Check that the programme selector dial is positioned correctly and that the start/stop button has been depressed. |
| The machine does not fill: | Check that the water tap is open. Check that water is coming out of the tap. Check that the inlet hose is not squashed or kinked. Check that the filter in the inlet hose is not blocked. Check that the door is closed. |
| The machine fills then empties immediately | The end of the drain hose is too low. Refer to relevant paragraph in "water drainage" section. Check that the drain hose is not squashed or kinked. |
| The machine does not empty and/or does not spin: | The drain filter is blocked. Clean it. The anticrease or no spin option has been selected. The wash load is unbalanced. Redistribute the clothes inside the drum to allow the machine to spin. |
| There is water on the floor: | Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent (creates too much foam) has been used. Check whether there are any leaks from one of the inlet hose fittings. It is not always easy to see this as the water runs down the hose; check to see if it is damp. Check that the drain hose is not damaged. Check that the drain filter has been refitted correctly after cleaning. |
| Unsatisfactory washing results | Too little detergent or unsuitable detergent has been used. Stubborn stains have not been treated prior to washing. The correct temperature or programme was not selected. |
| The machine vibrates or is noisy: | Check that all the transit bolts and packing have been removed. Check that the machine is not resting against anything. Check that the support feet are resting firmly on the ground and that the lock nuts are securely tightened. Check that the laundry is evenly distributed in the drum. Maybe there is very little laundry in the drum. |
| The door will not open: | The programme is still running. The door lock has not yet been released. |
