Setting Up Your Phone

You'll need to set up your ZTE Merit before you can explore all its great features.

Install the SIM card and Battery

1. Turn off your phone before installing or replacing the battery or SIM card.
2. Remove the back cover.
3. Slice the SIM card into the SIM card holder with the gold contacts on the card facing the phone.
4. Insert the battery by aligning the gold contacts on the battery and those in the battery compartment. Gently push down on the battery until it clicks into place.
5. Press the back cover gently into place until you hear a click.

Installing the Memory Card

1. Slide the protector upward to open it.
2. Insert the memory card into the slot with the gold contacts on the card facing the phone.
3. Close the slot protector and slide it down to lock it in place.
4. Replace the back cover of the phone.
