Setting Up PSI Rechargeable Battery Backup:

  1. Disconnect existing power.
  2. Stack batteries and power supply.
  3. Connect to Gateway.
  4. Ensure battery is ON and Gateway works.

Setting Up D-cell Battery Backup:

  1. Unplug existing power.
  2. Connect new cable to ONT and D-cell power supply.
  3. Insert D-cell batteries.
  4. Plug in holder.
  5. Test unit.
  6. Turn unit OFF after testing.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
No dial tone during power outage (Gateway & Rechargeable Batteries)
  1. Ensure corded phone is plugged into Gateway.
  2. Check Gateway power:
    • Gateway plugged into rechargeable battery.
    • Rechargeable battery is ON.
    • Rechargeable battery has charge (replace if needed).
  3. Ensure Gateway is connected to AT&T network box.
No dial tone during power outage (AT&T Fiber Box/ONT & D-cell Battery Unit)
  1. Ensure AT&T network box (ONT) has power and is ON.
  2. Check ONT power:
    • D-cell holder plugged into power supply.
    • D-cell holder is ON.
    • Power supply plugged into AT&T network box (ONT).
    • D-cell batteries are installed and have charge (test button, replace if needed).
