Warranty Summary
The Bennett Read 6L PRESSURE CHEF is guaranteed against manufacturing faults for 1 year, extendable to 2 years upon online registration within 14 days of purchase.
To start cooking:
- Remove lid, inner pot and add ingredients.
- Replace inner pot and close the lid.
- Select a cooking function.
- Adjust time and pressure if needed.
- The pressure cooker will start automatically after 5 seconds.
- Once cooking is complete, allow pressure to release naturally or manually release pressure.
Important: Do not attempt to open the lid while under pressure.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| The lid won't secure. | The seal gasket is not properly placed. | Place the seal gasket in the proper position. |
| Floating valve is stuck on the bar. | Push the bar slightly. | |
| Difficult to open the lid. | Floating valve does not drop after pressure release. | Lift up the pressure regulator to release steam until the floating valve drops, then turn the lid to open it. |
| Steam leaking around the lid. | Seal gasket is not placed. | Place the seal gasket. |
| Food stuck in seal gasket. | Clean the seal gasket. | |
| Damaged seal gasket. | Replace the seal gasket. See page 12 for contact details. | |
| The lid is not properly secured. | Check that the lid is secured according to the directions. | |
| Steam leaking around the floating valve. (The floating valve is located under the pressure regulator, on the inside of the lid) |
