Warranty Summary

The Bennett Read 6L PRESSURE CHEF is guaranteed against manufacturing faults for 1 year, extendable to 2 years upon online registration within 14 days of purchase.

To start cooking:

  1. Remove lid, inner pot and add ingredients.
  2. Replace inner pot and close the lid.
  3. Select a cooking function.
  4. Adjust time and pressure if needed.
  5. The pressure cooker will start automatically after 5 seconds.
  6. Once cooking is complete, allow pressure to release naturally or manually release pressure.

Important: Do not attempt to open the lid while under pressure.

Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The lid won't secure. The seal gasket is not properly placed. Place the seal gasket in the proper position.
Floating valve is stuck on the bar. Push the bar slightly.
Difficult to open the lid. Floating valve does not drop after pressure release. Lift up the pressure regulator to release steam until the floating valve drops, then turn the lid to open it.
Steam leaking around the lid. Seal gasket is not placed. Place the seal gasket.
Food stuck in seal gasket. Clean the seal gasket.
Damaged seal gasket. Replace the seal gasket. See page 12 for contact details.
The lid is not properly secured. Check that the lid is secured according to the directions.
Steam leaking around the floating valve.
(The floating valve is located under the pressure regulator, on the inside of the lid)
Food stuck in the seal gasket of floating valve. Clean the seal gasket of the floating valve.
The seal gasket of floating valve is worn out. Replace the seal gasket of the floating valve. See page 12 for contact details.
The floating valve will not rise. Too little food and water. Add food and water according to the directions.
Leakage around the lid or pressure displaying valve. Send to an authorized Tevo repair centre. See page 12 for contact details.

Troubleshooting and error codes
