Warranty Summary

BOSCH GLR225 laser measuring tools are warranted for 3 years against defects in material or workmanship from date of purchase.

Basic Operation Summary:

  • Power On/Off: Press the On/Off button.
  • Select Measurement Mode: Use mode buttons (Length, Area, Volume, Min/Max, Indirect).
  • Choose Reference Point: Select front, rear, pin, or tripod reference using the reference point button.
  • Take Measurement: Press the measure button to activate laser and again to measure.
  • Continuous Measurement: Activate continuous laser mode for tracking measurements.
  • Memory Functions: Store, add, subtract, and retrieve measurements using memory buttons.
  • Unit Change: Cycle through units (ft, m, in) using the unit button.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Remedy
The indications “Hot” or “Cold” are indicated in the display; measurement not possible. Wait until the rangefinder has reached the operating temperature
Battery indication “B” is indicated Replace batteries
Battery indication a flashes, measurement not possible Replace batteries
Battery voltage too low Replace batteries
The indications “Error.” and “- - - -” are indicated in the display -
The angle between the laser beam and the target is too acute. Enlarge the angle between the laser beam and the target
The target surface reflects too intensely (e.g. a mirror) or insufficiently (e.g. black fabric), or the ambient light is too bright Work with the laser target plate 25 (optional accessory)
The laser beam outlet 21 or the reception lens 22 are misted up (e.g. due to a rapid temperature change). Wipe the laser beam outlet 21 and/or the reception lens 22 dry using a soft cloth
The calculated area or volume value is larger than 99990 ft² or ft³. Change unit of measure to “m”
The indication “Error.” flashes at the top in the display Addition/Subtraction of different types of measurements Only add/subtract of the same type
The target surface does not reflect correctly (e.g. water, glass). Cover off the target surface
The laser beam outlet 21 or the reception lens 22 are covered. Make sure that the laser beam outlet 21 or the reception lens 22 are unobstructed
