Warranty Summary

DISH Network warrants the Hopper 3 system against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

Watching TV:

  • Press POWER button on DISH remote to turn on.
  • Press TV POWER button to watch live TV.
  • Use RECALL, HOME, Shows, Sports, Movies buttons to find programs.
  • Use GUIDE button for program guide.
  • Use CH +/- buttons or 123 button for channel selection.

Using the Touchpad:

  • Click to select.
  • Drag finger to move highlight.
  • Swipe to navigate quickly.

Recording Shows:

  • Select a show, choose 'Record This' or 'Record Series'.
  • View timers in DVR menu.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Hopper 3 receiver does not turn on. Verify power connections, power cord, and outlet.
Channels red in Program Guide. Channels not in your DISH package, call 1-800-333-DISH to add.
TV Activity displays instead of program. All tuners in use; wait, watch same program, stop recording, or select PrimeTime Anytime®, On Demand, or DVR.
My PIP button isn't working. PIP feature only on Hopper 3 receiver, not Joey receivers.
Remote control not working well. Check batteries, pairing, remote mode (SAT), and antenna connection.
