Rear-Facing Installation (LATCH or Vehicle Seat Belt):

• Store top tether strap and ensure LATCH strap is in the rear-facing belt path.
• Recline the car seat to the appropriate rear-facing position.
• Place car seat rear-facing in the vehicle back seat, ensuring base is at least 80% on the vehicle seat.
• Check level indicator to ensure proper recline.
• Extend and attach LATCH connectors (or route vehicle seat belt) and tighten securely.
• Test for tightness: car seat should not move more than 1" at belt path.

Forward-Facing Installation (LATCH or Vehicle Seat Belt):

• Store LATCH strap (if using vehicle belt) and ensure LATCH strap is in the forward-facing belt path (if using LATCH).
• Adjust car seat to appropriate forward-facing recline position.
• Unhook and extend top tether strap.
• Place car seat forward-facing in vehicle back seat, ensuring base is at least 80% on vehicle seat.
• Attach LATCH connectors (or route vehicle seat belt) and tighten securely.
• Attach and tighten top tether strap.
• Test for tightness: car seat should not move more than 1" at belt path.

Securing Child:

• Loosen harness straps and place child in seat.
• Position harness straps at correct height (rear-facing: at or below shoulders; forward-facing: at or above shoulders).
• Buckle harness and chest clip.
• Tighten harness by pulling harness adjustment strap until snug; chest clip at armpit level.
