- Installing without base using vehicle belt: Place the infant restraint rear-facing, thread vehicle belt through belt hooks, buckle, tighten, and ensure level.
- Installing with base using vehicle belt: Place base rear-facing, thread vehicle belt through base, buckle, tighten, ensure level, and attach infant restraint to base.
- Installing base using LATCH: Extend LATCH connectors, attach to vehicle anchors, tighten LATCH belt, and ensure base is secure.
- Securing child: Position harness straps, place child in seat, buckle harness, tighten straps, and position chest clip at armpit level.
- Final safety check: Push down on restraint to check vehicle belt/LATCH is tight and restraint moves less than 1 inch.
