Warranty Summary

HoMedics provides a 2-year limited warranty against defects in manufacture and workmanship under normal use and service.

To Use the Humidifier:

  • Plug the unit into a 120-volt AC outlet.
  • Press the power button to turn the unit on.
  • Adjust the mist output level using the mist output button.
  • Rotate the mist nozzle to direct the mist.
  • Use the timer button to set an auto-off time if desired.
  • The night-light feature can be activated with the night-light button.

Filling the Tank:

  • Turn off and unplug the unit before filling.
  • Remove the tank cover.
  • Fill the tank with clean, cool water up to the MAX fill line.
  • Replace the tank cover.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No power/no mist from spout
  • Unit is not plugged in
  • Unit is not turned on
  • No power at unit
  • Low water level
  • Transducer/ultrasonic membrane needs cleaning
  • Humidistat set lower than the current room humidity
  • Plug unit in
  • Press the power button to turn the unit on
  • Check circuits and fuses or try a different outlet
  • Refill the tank with water
  • Follow Cleaning the Transducer/Ultrasonic Membrane instructions in the Cleaning and Care section
  • Reset the humidistat to a higher humidity setting, or change to continuous on
Peculiar odor
  • Unit is new
  • If unit is in use, the odor may be a dirty tank or old tank water
  • Old water in water reservoir
  • Remove the tank cover and let the tank air out in a cool, dry place for 12 hours
  • Empty the old water, clean the tank, and fill with clean water
  • Remove the tank cover and tank. Pour out any remaining water in the water reservoir
Excessive noise
  • Unit is not level
  • Low water level
  • Place unit on a flat, even surface
  • Check the water level; refill the tank if the water is low
White dust accumulation
  • Hard water used
  • Demineralization cartridge needs to be replaced
  • Use distilled water and a demineralization cartridge
  • Replace demineralization cartridge
Red light illuminates on the Clean indicator/reset button
  • Transducer/Ultrasonic Membrane needs cleaning
  • Clean reminder needs to be reset
  • Follow Cleaning the Transducer/ Ultrasonic Membrane instructions in the Cleaning and Care section
  • Press and hold the clean indicator/reset button until the red LED turns off
