Starting a Cold Engine:

• Engage the chain brake.
• Press the air purge repeatedly.
• Pull the blue choke/fast idle lever out to the full extent.
• Pull the starter handle firmly and rapidly.
• Push in the choke control to the ”1/2 choke” setting as soon as the engine fires.
• Keep on pulling the cord powerfully until the engine starts.

Starting a Warm Engine:

Use the same procedure as for starting a cold engine but without setting the choke control in the choke position. Set the throttle to the start position by pulling out the blue choke control to the choke position and then pushing it in again.

Stopping:

Stop the engine by pressing down the stop button.
