Warranty Summary

MAYTAG GEMINI ELECTRIC RANGE has a full one year warranty for parts and labor, and limited warranties for parts only in the second to fifth years, as detailed in the manual.

Surface Cooking:

  • Place pan on surface element.
  • Push and turn knob to desired heat setting.
  • After cooking, turn knob to OFF.

Oven Cooking:

  • Press desired oven function pad.
  • Press AUTO SET or number pads for time/temperature.
  • Cancel operation with CANCEL pad when done.

Troubleshooting and error codes

**Problem** Possible Causes and Solutions
**Part or all of appliance does not work.** Check power supply, controls, door lock, delayed program, coil element.
**Glass-ceramic surface shows wear.** Tiny scratches, metal marks, brown streaks, metallic sheen, pitting or flaking can occur - follow cleaning and usage instructions.
**Baking results are not as expected.** Check oven vent, range level, oven temperature settings, cooking mode and bakeware.
**Food is not broiling properly.** Check oven rack position, preheating, foil usage, door position, excess fat and broiler pan condition.
**Oven will not self-clean.** Check for delayed start and door closure.
**Oven door will not unlock after self-clean.** Allow oven to cool completely.
**Moisture collects on oven window.** This is normal when cooking foods high in moisture.
**Strong odor or light smoke when oven is turned on.** This is normal for a new range, or due to food soils.
**Steam comes from vent area.** Normal when cooking high moisture foods in the upper oven.
**"F" plus a number and the message: "CALL AN AUTHORIZED SERVICER OR 888-462-9824"** Fault code - try resetting power, if it continues call for service.
