  1. Install battery: Insert a battery in the battery chamber.
  2. Rubber eyepiece cup: Adjust eyepiece cup based on eyeglass use.
  3. Diopter adjustment: Adjust diopter to obtain a clear image in the LCD.
  4. Measuring: Align reticle with target and depress POWER button.
  5. Select unit: Press and hold MODE to change between meters and yards.
  6. Target priority: Select First or Distant Target Priority mode.
  7. Backlight: Briefly press MODE to toggle backlight.

Unit does not turn on LCD fails to illuminate
  • Depress POWER button.
  • Check and replace battery if necessary.
Target range cannot be obtained
  • Be sure that nothing is blocking laser aperture and detector.
  • Ensure laser aperture and detector are clean.
  • Target shape and condition should reflect laser beam.
[----] ("Cannot measure") appears
  • Replace battery.
  • Hold unit steady while pressing POWER.
  • Target within range (10-1,100m/11-1,200 yards).
Closer target cannot be measured
  • Ensure no obstacles between Laser 1200 and target.
Target beyond a certain distance cannot be measured
  • Ensure no obstacles between Laser 1200 and target.
Measurement result is unstable
  • Replace battery.
  • Target shape and condition should reflect laser beam.
  • Hold unit steady while pressing POWER.
  • Ensure no obstacles between Laser 1200 and target.
